Resilience, Growth, and Connection
At Steppe Mind, we are a small yet mighty team, each member bringing a unique set of skills to the table. Like the resilient nomads of Mongolia, we have adapted over centuries to thrive in even the harshest conditions. This spirit of resilience and adaptability is ingrained in our modern-day way of life and is reflected in how we approach our work.
Our team embodies a strong sense of unity, operating like a close-knit family. However, we are not a business where opportunities are reserved only for family members. We believe in growth, both for our company and for each individual who contributes to it. In our view, success isn’t about dividing a fixed pie into smaller slices—it’s about making the pie bigger so that everyone can share in the rewards. This philosophy drives us to continually grow and evolve, which is why our team has remained intact and driven even through the challenges of COVID-19, with minimal turnover in management.
We believe in staying connected with our clients. For us, it’s essential to meet them, understand their expectations, and gain insight into their needs. Close communication with our clients is the key to delivering meaningful experiences and ensuring that we are always aligned with what matters most to them. But beyond just understanding their needs, it’s about learning from them, as this is where real value is created.
Core Team
At Steppe Mind, we are committed to building something greater than ourselves—something that brings people together and offers them the opportunity to recharge, reconnect, and experience Mongolia in a unique and meaningful way.

JAMINA Shinebayar
General Manager
I’m Jamina, a Tourism Management graduate with over 7 years of experience in the tourism sector. Throughout my career, I’ve worked as an English and German-speaking guide, travel manager, and event organizer, always striving to create meaningful and unique journeys. I’m passionate about sustainable tourism, representing Mongolia, and making sure every travel experience is unforgettable and worth every moment.
I first met Flora when she joined our startup as a partner, helping to digitalize the tourism sector. When I heard she was starting Steppe Mind—a wellness tourism company—I immediately volunteered to be part of it. My team gives me strength, courage, and a sense of belonging. I feel supported and loved here, and I truly believe in the healing power we offer our guests.

Jambalsuren (JAMBAA) Ganbaatar
Facilities & Vehicle Maintenance Manager
I majored in Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Science and Technology 20 years ago. I’ve always been a curious person, enjoying making things with my own hands—knitting, sewing Mongolian national clothes like boots and hats. Later, I moved with my family to the countryside, 1,100 km from the capital, where I started crafting traditional Mongolian felt-covered gers and modern gers.
When Flora came up with the idea to create modern gers for resorts and ger camps, I decided to leave my job repairing large machinery and trucks at a coal mine near the Mongolian border during the COVID pandemic. Now, we’re running our own glamping resort, using my handmade tents and gers, with incredible support and contributions from local artisans—all while still running the ger-making business.
I also take care of our company vehicles because off-road travel in Mongolia demands excellent maintenance and skilled hands to keep our adventures on track without losing time.

Flora
CEO
I feel incredibly blessed and grateful to have met and be surrounded by some of the kindest, most beautiful souls in this world. I love our team because we empower one another, reminding each of us of our unique skills and talents, coming together to create something truly meaningful. We strike the right balance between separateness and togetherness, always mindful of our actions and vision—to exist happily and benefit others in a meaningful way.
Our team’s goal is simple: minimum harm, maximum sustainability

Enkh-Amgalan (AMGAA) Boldbaatar
Online marketing Manager and Tour leader
I’m Amgaa, a graduate in Law Enforcement and International Relations. I started my career as a detective and later represented Mongolia in peacekeeping missions in South Sudan during the challenging COVID-19 year. For the past few years, I’ve been working in cybersecurity, dealing with both the harms and opportunities of the online world. It was a demanding role, but it made me realize how much I enjoy meeting new people, exchanging ideas, and thriving in social environments. I also have a deep love for traveling, both within Mongolia and abroad.
I’m incredibly thankful that Steppe Mind allows me to combine my passions. As an online marketing manager and a group leader during the summer, I get to enjoy the best of both worlds—immersing myself in the real world, alive with nature and authentic human connections, while also navigating the digital landscape. It’s a refreshing balance at a time when digitalization is taking over, and it keeps me fulfilled and energized.

NOMINZUL (NZ) Bayaraa
Operation & Customer Relations
I’m Nominzul NZ, with a background in linguistics, marketing, and operations. My journey began in hospitality, moved through operations management, and eventually led me to Mongolian Economy magazine as a translator and marketer. It was there that I met Flora, the founder of Steppe Mind, and we instantly connected over our shared love for culture and storytelling. Flora’s creative vision and leadership inspired me, and I eventually joined her at Steppe Mind.
I love being part of Steppe Mind because of its flexibility and the opportunities it provides to stay-at-home mothers like me. Together, Flora and I transitioned into the tourism industry, combining our skills to craft immersive travel experiences. As a guide and travel manager, I now share Mongolia’s beauty with international guests, helping turn strangers into lifelong friends. Connecting with people from all over the world is what truly brings me joy.
