Every journey to Mongolia begins and ends in Ulaanbaatar, the capital that bridges the lives of urbanners and nomads alike.

Over night stay

Fly to Zavkhan

After an early flight, we will drive to Ulaagchin Khar Nuur to experience its serene beauty. Surrounded by scenic mountains, steppe, and sand dunes, the lake is known for its clear waters and tranquil atmosphere

According to legend, two mighty dragons protect Mongolia, one of which resides in Zavkhan province. One dragon faces east to guard against foreign invaders, while the other, protecting the state, inhabits western Zavkhan. Its eyes are said to be Ulaagchinii Black Lake, with surrounding sand dunes as its body and rivers like Khungui as its veins.

Naadam Festival

Steppe Mind promotes the Local Naadam Festival as a way to foster sustainable growth, support local communities, and offer travelers an authentic experience away from the crowds.

Local Naadam festivals are known for their genuine and enthusiastic atmosphere, allowing visitors to engage closely with participants and spectators. They provide a unique opportunity to experience Mongolian traditions firsthand—free from the crowds of the national festival—while contributing to community well-being and preserving cultural heritage

While the national festival takes place in Ulaanbaatar, local Naadam festivals are held across various provinces and towns, offering a more intimate and authentic experience of Mongolian heritage.  Local Naadams feature the “Three Manly Games”—wrestling, horse racing, and archery. These events are deeply rooted in Mongolian culture and provide insight into the country’s nomadic heritage.

Celebrate heritage with deep nomadic wisdom

Over night stay

Drive to Arkhangai

“Today, we journey to Central Province, Mongolia, famous for its therapeutic mineral waters and scenic beauty. Located about 30 kilometers south of Tsetserleg, the provincial capital, the spring emerges at an elevation of 1,850 meters above sea level. It’s no coincidence that we unwind here as our tour nears its end.”

Tsenkher Hot Spring, located in Arkhangai Province, Mongolia, is renowned for its therapeutic waters reaching temperatures up to 86°C. The spring discharges approximately 10 liters per second and is believed to aid in treating joint and nervous system ailments
